SUMMARY:Sanya Colson-Inam - UFG: The First 5 Years
DESCRIPTION:BAA member\, Sanya Colson-Inam is participating in this exhibit. \nIn April of 2011\, Uforge Gallery enthusiastically entered the Boston arts scene\, offering open call exhibitions with fun themes to inspire and challenge artists of all skill levels. Since then\, the gallery’s exhibit style has undergone various changes\, creating opportunities for local artists to make and share their work\, through juried and invitational shows\, workshops and interdisciplinary events\, and the establishment of a member collective. It has become an important and welcoming community art space that continues to grow and evolve to meet the needs of artists. To celebrate its fifth anniversary\, the gallery will show work of artists who have exhibited in the space over the years in a special juried showcase during the month of April.  \nOpening Night Reception: Thursday\, April 7th from 6-9 PM.

SUMMARY:Newton Open Studios
DESCRIPTION:BAA members\, Sanya Colson-Inam and Linda Salter\, are participating in this year’s open studios. \nJoin the fun! Browse\, explore\, and buy art and beautifully crafted objects directly from over 150 local artists. \nYou’ll see painting\, jewelry\, photography\, ceramics\, sculpture\, prints\, wearable fabrics and much more. \nNOS is one of the largest and longest running open studios events in the region! 50 pop-up exhibit/sales locations all across Newton have plenty of free parking\, and many have handicap access. Red balloons mark the locations. \nNewton Open Studios produces community arts events that bring together the artists and residents of Newton. It is a non-profit\, funded by artists registration fees and donations from generous individuals and businesses\, and in part by the Massachusetts Cultural Council as administered by the Newton Cultural Council. Newton Open Studios is an affiliate of Newton Community Pride.
