DESCRIPTION:The Old Schwamb Mill presents the work of\n\n\n\nMaryann Hondo and Anne Katzeff\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSeasons of Light:\n\n\n\nFrom 2 Perspectives\n\n\n\nDURATION OF EXHIBIT: June 24 – August 26\, 2023\n\n\n\nOpening Reception: June 24\, 2023\, 2:30–4pmClosing Reception: August 26\, 2023\, 2–3:30pm\n\n\n\nLight refreshments will be served.\n\n\n\nThe Old Schwamb Mill; 17 Mill Lane; Arlington\, MA 02476\n\n\n\nDetails: Maryann and Anne will display new and recent work in this art exhibit that celebrates the seasons. As we move through the year\, we notice how the light changes. Shadows\, clarity\, and details fluidly transform and take on different attributes. Each artist offers their unique perspectives of the seasons of light and welcome your interpretations! \n\n\n\nThe Old Schwamb Mill is an historic building that housed a working mill for over a hundred years. It continues to house a fine art framing business. Multiple generations of tools and machines remain intact. \n\n\n\n\nThe Old Schwamb Mill exists as a complex of three buildings (Main Mill Building\, the Dryhouse\, and the Barn)\, which utilized water power and steam power more than 100 years ago to manufacture finely crafted natural wood and gilded frames during America’s “Gilded Age.” The Mill is rare as a vernacular architectural survivor\, as well as for a collection of preserved and historically significant workplaces and rooms which have maintained continuous industrial operations since 1864.”
