BAA Member\, Irene Fairley\, is one of the exhibiting artists. \nHer marble sculpture\, “Surfaces\,” can be seen in the Boston Design Center Lobby. \nGETTING THERE\nBoston Design Center overlooks historic Boston Harbor. All workshops take place 7-9pm at the Belmont Gallery of Art.  \nThurs.\, July 13: KUMIHIMO NECKLACE WORKSHOP\nNaomi Ellenberg-Dukas\, of DukasDesigns\, will demonstrate Japanese beaded braiding to create a single strand kumihimo bracelet. This technique has unlimited designs and varying degrees of complexity\, but this will start with the basics. Materials will be supplied to 10 attendees (by lottery to those present). Naomi is President of Beadesigner International/New England Bead Society. \nArt supplies will be provided for workshop attendees. Some events will feature brief talks by participating BAA artists about their individual art-making techniques and influences. Refreshments will be served. Free admission.
