SUMMARY:Blueprints for Financial Success
DESCRIPTION:Get to your fiscal-drafting table with Tim Power ’98\nThis presentation is called “Blueprints for Financial Success” because building a strong financial future is very similar to building a house—starting from the ground up. The metaphor begins with the plans or blueprint\, laying a solid foundation\, and building incrementally from there. \nThe metaphorical financial house can be segmented into a few core sections: \nThe foundation: cash flow/net worth—two of the key components of building a financial strategy\, knowing these will illustrate the current and future funds available to work with. \nThe walls: risk management and ensuring proper protection for the uncertainties in life. \nThe roof: overhead for growth intellectually and care for the future—college funding/retirement planning. \nOnce everything else is taken care of\, “true financial freedom” and the accumulation of wealth can be thought of as additions to the house become feasible. \nLocation: Conference Room 280\n2nd Floor: Kennedy Building\n621 Huntington Avenue\nBoston\, MA     02115 \nFree to attend\, but please register on the Mass. Art website.

SUMMARY:Endangered Canyons - Photographs by Harvey Halpern
DESCRIPTION:Photographs by Harvey Halpern\nThe Oak Hill Studio Community Gallery Space is privileged to be presenting the wilderness photographs of professional photographer and conservationist\, Harvey Halpern. This and all exhibits at Oak Hill Studio are provided as a community service with all proceeds going to the artist. \nMr. Halpern has been professionally photographing remote landscapes throughout North America since 1978. The emphasis of his work and the focus of this exhibition is the canyons of Southern Utah. Through many years of off trail hiking in often very harsh conditions\, he has been able to get into some truly remote areas. Some of the photographs are of areas that no one on foot has seen for over 600 years. Access and appreciation of the truly wild landscapes is the core of his inspiration and message. At the same time\, he delights in challenging the viewer’s perspective on size\, color\, and perspective itself. Mr. Halpern is very active in efforts to protect these endangered wild spaces\, “ I feel strongly that wherever you experience Wilderness you need to help protect it just as it has helped renew you”. When you experience the other worldly landscapes in the “Endangered Canyon” exhibition you will certainly understand why they are worthy of admiration and protection. Visit harveyhalpern.com for more information on the artist’s photographs and conservation efforts. We look forward to seeing you! \nDirections and gallery hours: can be found at sharonnahill.com. \nGallery hours: Mon. and Fri. 4:30-6:30 pm; Wed. 4:30-8:30 pm \nDuration of show: Feb. 26 to March 22\, 2015\nReception: Feb. 26\, 6:30-9:30 pm
