Sandrine (a.k.a. Sanya) is the Artist of the Month at the Thomas Crane Public Library during September. Her show "Imagine" is a selection of her paintings and mixed media work. In this exhibit, Sanya invites her viewers to see the invisible out of her work; to make up their own stories and let their mind imagine the end of stories her mixed media or paintings are starting for them.

Depictions of animals, from beasts of prey to household pets, have been a staple of artistic expression since the very dawn of man. Whether as totems, allegory, symbols, decoration, or simply for their own intrinsic beauty and "fearsome symmetry," animals have served as vessels for artistic expression. |
