At our recent BAA meeting, John Norton shared stories about his recent trip to NYC. He visited several art galleries with a few of his former students. Seen below are some of his favorite artists seen that day.

RUTH ASAWA – (1926-2013), a survey of work by this historically important abstractionist, at David Zwirner Gallery, 537 W 20th St., NYC.

MAYA LIN – architect, famous designer of the Vietnam War Memorial in DC and also a mixed media artist, whose installation here focuses on the nature of Water, at PACE, 537 W 24th St., NYC. (Unfortunately, John was not able to take pictures of her installation.)
