Erika moved to Belmont in 1971 to work at MIT. In the MIT art studios, she learned pottery and printmaking. She joined the Cambridge Art Asssociation in 1985 and has participated in single and group shows in their galleries.
Using very traditional etching techniques and combining them with other methods such as solar etching, monotypes, photography and collages, she creates modern abstract images. Colors are important and her images express feelings rather than realism.
