Application fee $10 payable to Belmont Gallery of Art when dropping off accepted work
2017 members of the Belmont Art Association (dues paid by April 20) may submit new work created over the past year. Any media that can be hung on a wall will be considered, including painting, photography, printmaking, collage, drawing, flat fiber art, mixed media, digital media. In addition, jewelry and 3D art may be accepted if it can be displayed on a shelf or if the artist provides display pedestal. Include details on application.
To participate, please send your application by email with jpg images (no side larger than 2000 pixels). The work must have been done in the last 12 months, and not have already been displayed at the Belmont Gallery of Art. Maximum size is 36″ in any dimension- including frame. Please name image files: Lastname_Title_Width_Height.jpg. Example: Smith_PinkFlowers_12X14.jpg
Artists may submit Up to Three (3) Works for consideration.
Prints are acceptable if wired and ready for hanging. Prints must be clearly labeled as such.
By submitting work, the artist gives permission for images to be used for publicity purposes.
All artwork submitted must be suitably framed/and or finished and have sturdy wire across the back (NO saw tooth hangers or single loops accepted).
The BAA Committee reserves the right to select work for display and to reject any work deemed inappropriate—or not suitable for exhibit.
An attempt will be made to represent all artists submitting work. However, given the limited space due to the concurrent one-artist show in the back gallery room, submissions may not all be able to be accommodated,
Sales, Tax and Commission:
Sales will be handled through the Belmont Gallery of Art, including MA sales tax (6.25%) on any sold work. A commission of 15% is applicable on the purchase price. Purchased work will be released immediately.
Drop-Off & Pick up of Work:
All pieces must be delivered to the Gallery and unsold works picked up from the gallery during designated hours (see below). If you cannot make these hours, please make arrangements to have someone do so for you.
Each piece delivered must have a completed label attached to the back with last name of artist, title of work and price.
The Belmont Gallery and the Belmont Art Association will take the greatest care in handling all works. The Gallery, the Belmont Art Association, the Town of Belmont and its volunteers accept no liability for damage or theft incurred in the course of transit or while the works are in custody of the Gallery.
By submitting work, the artist accepts the above conditions.

NOTIFICATION: Acceptances/Rejections will be emailed by May 31, 2017.
DROP OFF: Date and times will be emailed to artists with your acceptance. Please have your labels and inventory list with you.
This exhibit will include special events such as demonstrations, “show and tell” sessions, etc. These are for the general community, and can be targeted to families, children, or other artists. This is an opportunity to show more of your art and speak about your process and inspiration. Please indicate whether you would be willing to participate in these events. Dates and times to be determined.
Salon: some Sundays, 2-4pm.
Demonstrations: some Wednesdays 3-5pm
Also, we will have Artists’ Project Evening: some Fridays 6-9pm
